Flow: steer conversations on a canvas
Flow: steer conversations on a canvas
Split a conversation into stages, each with its own instructions and tools, connected by conditions.
A flow is a map of the conversation. Start points at the first stage; arrows say where to go next.
- Stage: a part of the conversation with its own instructions (added to the prompt while the conversation is there) and the tools it may use. For example “Greet the caller and find out what they need.”
- Arrow with a condition, in plain words, like “the customer asks about a refund”. The AI checks it on every message and moves on as soon as it holds.
- Tool: run one of the agent's tools, then go on by its result (draw the Success and Failed arrows).
- Agent: hand the conversation to another of your agents.
- Person: on calls, connect to a phone number; on WhatsApp and chats, your team answers in the Inbox and you are emailed.
- End: say goodbye and end the conversation (hang up a call).
- Drag stages and steps onto the canvas and connect them.
- Switch on Use this flow for the agent's calls and chats. Off, the agent answers from its prompt as before.
- Save, then test it.
